I think the only major thing to learn from all this is that journalists are lazy. It's something we all knew, but the fact that no one bothered to find out if the group was actually a band that played somewhere is jarring. How hard would that be? I mean, how many casinos are there in the desert in the west (a lot) that have a Middle Eastern band come and play them (maybe one)? Too bad no one bothered to do the legwork before publishing the first story.
